My cars always have some complicated attachment point that you have to construct with directions blowing around on your hood. I’m somewhat mechanically inclined: I change my own brakes/oil/tie rods, etc.. But changing my wipers always summons cursing and box throwing.

Yes, it’s less wasteful. But I prefer the beam style blades. That all being said, never buy new complete blades from a store. I buy them online and pay like a third of the price.
