The NBA if they cared about their money they should have ignored the tweet. Each article, statement, etc. digs a larger hole. Joe Tsai’s public letter, that no one asked for, continues to shows the NBA’s ass.
I would counter if they don’t pair their starters in two games they are punting every game.
If I was the Nationals, I would basically punt Sunday’s game as far as pitching goes. Start someone not named Corbin, Sanchez, Strasburg, Scherzer and make it a bullpen game as none of your studs are going to be rested.
Cubs won the World Series with a very young roster of 20-somethings. Nothing about this A’s team is too young. Wildcard game is a crapshoot, plain and simple.
Spewing racial stereotypes on a public platform is not a victimless misstep.
Take the Reg season down to 150 - 156 games. Then you would actually be playing less games. But that would be common sense and doesn’t have a stupid hashtag to go with it.
Was a great game. Brutal a 162 game season ends on 1 game on a play like that. I feel like a 3 game wildcard would be interesting. At least if you lose two games it doesn’t feel like such a a fluke.
I appreciate Maddon’s contributions to the Cubs and he did what a bunch of managers including Lou Piniella and Dusty Baker couldn’t do and won a WS with the Cubs.
I wonder if Kraft doesn’t get caught paying for an HJ he might have been a little more tolerant of what Brown was accused of.
I’m late to the party, but I have never had someone describe college coaches so perfectly. First paragraph is art.
Your team wins so you cook breakfast for everyone else. You really showed them.
4 playoffs (does the WC game count?) and 1 WS. The Cubs now know who all their players are, time to retool and get back out there next year. I’m bummed they are not going to make the playoffs, but would have sucked to see them get swept by the Dodgers or lose again in the WC game.
I always laugh when colleges or professional teams say “their investigative team” like they have Columbo locked in their closet and they let him out just for times like this.
I’m so damn happy about the Cubs winning the WS in 2016. If you look at how good the Red Sox, Yankees, Cleveland, Astros and Dodgers have been that past couple years, I will happily take my one WS win. So fucking happy.
Maybe. I mean he has had 3 years. One bad, one not great, and one decent (currently ending on a horrendous September). His walks are pretty high and have actually regressed from last year. I clearly upset a lot of Reds fans with my comment which wasn’t meant to be taken that seriously.
He will especially miss that money when he is out of the league in a couple of years.
People say the same shit about Black Lives Matter. They don’t know what it means, or what it sounds like might mean something else...
Baseball is so much more exciting with runners on base. My worry isn’t what it is doing this season, it’s what happens when they normalize the situation and then every game is just a bunch of flyballs to left because all of the hitters have changed their swing for these new balls.
You know who probably would prefer to play 4 years in the minors in real life baseball games in front of fans instead of 4 years in a batting cage? The players.
