I guess the point is when nearly two thirds of the league’s players are black, and by firing one guy you cut 25% of the leagues black head coaches, it’s worth noting.

My new favorite thing is to find a new person in the stands/sideline and watch their reaction.
Man something bad must have happened to you at Old Orchard Mall food court, huh?
Damn man... hate these links to The Athletic because I am a cheap person and will not subscribe.
Such an empty threat. Because the Ricketts (should) know, if and when the team becomes less competitive, people will still show up for the party.
Hey, what about Skokie!?
I prefer my basketball where the old sweaty white dude in the suit isn’t the only one getting paid and has the court named after him like he is some kind of God.
Did he make the shot? Come on JJ, you got to ask the tough questions!
They didn’t do him a favor if Boras was telling other teams the Nationals have offered 350mil/10 years...
I think between Embiid and Butler it’s Butler who is fragile. Embiid is self aware, funny and I think maybe sometimes just too honest. Butler is corny, fake and a guy who quotes Batman movies while posting a photo of himself walking through an autumn park with a coffee?
I don’t know the rules of rookie contracts but is there a reason why the Knicks don’t send Ntilikina to the G League to at least run around? Want to gain some offensive confidence? Play a week in the G League.
If Weaver and Kelly don’t contribute then yes D Backs got fleeced. But I agree with you, they got two guys who are Major League ready, its not like they are getting two low-A ball players. If I am a D Backs fan I’m not happy losing my best player but I am watching next year to see what the young guys they got back can…
It’s a small sample size but he has hit 50% (6 for 12) 3's this year in 9 games. Before that he was 22% on 9 of 30 3s. He might fall off a cliff on his 3-pointers or more likely he is slowly gaining confidence in his ability to his the 3. It will never be 50% but something along 35% seems like a possibility.
Joakim will play 10 minutes a game at most unless an injury happens to Gasol or JJJ. I’m fairly certain he is being brought in for “leadership”.
Good point.
Ray Rice was 26-27 which I know is like 100 in RB years, but he never sniffed the NFL again as far as I remember. Whatever team would have to do a lot of PR justifying signing him. Because we all know the public answer can’t be “He’s 23, he’s cheap and we want to win.”
Agreed. Don’t be concerned about offending the Athletic Directors, the Coaches, the Administrators, the Boosters, or whoever else. They will ALWAYS be offended when you are talking about taking money out of their pocket and putting it in the athlete’s pocket.
Good for KAT, this guy was a phenom when he entered the league would have been a shame if he wasn’t able to reach his full potential for whatever reason.
Man talk about two programs that pretty much sum up everything that is wrong with college athletics. Who the fuck watches this shit?
I’ve watched this a dozen times and I still don’t understand how the ball went where it did.
