After a few years to think it over, what I’ve currently settled on is that the movie’s major problem is how we see hardly anything of their relationship before Harper’s family comes into the picture, which means the movie can talk all it wants about how great a person Harper is most of the time, but all we see is her

From O’Barr in 2013: “I think the reality is, no matter who you get to star in it, or if you get Ridley Scott to direct it and spend 200 million dollars, you’re still not gonna top what Brandon Lee and Alex Proyas did in that first ten million dollar movie.”

though, seeing as how they already made this new one, it’s probably too late to do anything about it”

I listened to the episode of Pod Meets World where Strong and Friedle talk about Peck. Some impressions...

They don’t let themselves off the hook for writing letters of support. Friedle in particular refers to supporting Peck in court as his, “ever-loving shame.”

They talk a lot about experiences on set, with Peck, and

She could have had it all. Unlimited Disney dollars, her own spin off show, merchandise, long lines at Cons, bigger and bigger roles. Instead she threw it away for a handful of shitty right wing movies nobody saw and a few pitiful Cons

Yeah she’s too dumb to realize she’s not going to win in a star-power fight with Pedro Fucking Pascal.

The “boop/beep” thing was a direct insult to Pedro Pascal, after he put pronouns in his bio as a show of support for his trans sister. Publicly attacking the star of the hugely successful show you somehow landed a part on is exactly the kind of stupid-as-shit career move that leads directly to working for Ben Shapiro.

Which isn’t even getting to the biggest part yet: the actual star of the show she appeared in has become a superstar over the course of it, famously has a trans sister whom he truly loves and supports in every way, and presumably told their bosses: “shut her up or get her the fuck off my show.”  And, not being idiots,

The prequel trilogy is as despised as it always was by the people that despised it. The difference is that the opinions of 8 year olds who loved the movie at the time didn’t count and now they’re in their 30s and are counted as part of the conversation. I would guess the number of adults who saw it in theaters and

“Robbing” is a strong and inappropriate word. It would have been awesome to see Gladstone win because I really loved her performance, but Stone’s was also really incredible, and a much bigger part of her film. The award was up for grabs especially between the two of them, and not for Gladstone to lose.

I can take or leave the format where past winners gush about current nominees, but I do wish they would show clips of the nominated performances. If the whole point is to celebrate the movies, let’s see some movies!

I think the Batman bit was possibly made even better by that ascot Michael Keaton wore, which just made him look like ‘60s-era Bruce Wayne.

Get her and Michelle Williams in old age makeup, secretly taking down Trump.

I love Scheer but I’d prefer Mantzoukas as a long-lost magical relative.

So what do you think happened, June?

What are two things Taylor Swift has never been.

Big Daddy is fucking great. And one of the first movies I can remember where 2 dudes kiss on screen. And while that gay relationship was a comedic story line in the movie, it never felt mean and was treated as no big deal. Which in 1999, it kinda was still a big deal.

MAKLUNKY!

He has a podcast!!!! Oh then he must be famous! Either that or he’s every third white guy in America.

I keep seeing people in these comments calling this guy is famous. For what? Is he on a show? In a movie? Dating Taylor Swift?
