Am I missing things, or does the story of Gils divorce & thoughts on marriage keep changing? It's bothering me.
In the pilot, there's a flashback that shows Gil telling his wife he wants a divorce- in this episode he said his wife left him.
In the pilot, Annie says he keeps saying "Marriage blows", and later in that

Yeah, and I did agree with Crosby that Adam kinda messed up when it came to the contract, and then to put the problem all on Crosbys shoulders when Adam should be there helping really sucks of him. I also feel like it's Zeek because of what he said tonight, about how he wants his ashes spread

Fiona and Declan of Degrassi. There was always ~something there, and she eventually kisses him (because she's jealous of his relationship).
