I’m not confused :)

I know. I was mocking all the controversy - both sides of it - surrounding Ghost in the Shell and similar projects.

Since the manga was Japanese - drawn in Japan by a Japanese person and released in Japan - does that mean that the characters are all Japanese despite looking like white people?

It does get easier - or at least, it did for me. I thought all three of them sounded very similar in the theater. So similar that I often couldn’t tell any of them apart sometimes! But after a few viewings, I got to know them better, and it’s a lot easier.

Unless Dems take control of the legislature and pass a law requiring it. The White House will probably still be able to redact names like Obama’s admin did though.

The rationale for the vanishing visitor’s log was given as ‘it saves the taxpayers $17,500.’

They paid for everything Lucas had invested in Star Wars. That included everything he had written for the rest of the saga.

The angle is fine. Her arms are just a little long, and chalk that up to this being a comic book and not something photo-realistic. Go grab something cylindrical. Try it.

Oh god, no. You don’t know my friends.

You people are going to Hel for these Asgardian puns.

Huh. And a couple of hours ago I said on the article about how California no longer has a drought (after you guys banged the “California is irreversibly fucked” drum for so long) that we hadn’t seen a Maddie Stone doomsday article in quite a while.

Teedo is not a character built for a confrontation and sometimes giving something up is easier than the work of dragging it around.

Your inability to follow simple clues laid throughout a movie is not the fault of the filmmakers. Explaining how Rey demonstrates and builds upon her abilities from the very beginning of the film isn’t “jumping through hoops” it’s showing that you lack the ability to actually think about what you’re watching.

That makes no sense. Disney didn’t pay a dime for any story that Lucas had for Episode VII. Abrams didn’t have to avoid anything.

That’s so weird. Because I was certain I read here on Gizmodo - and on all the related sub-sites - that climate change had irreversibly fucked California for all time.

That’s how you think you win a debate? By nitpicking? Okay.

Since you’re not likely to find the other post I wrote about the film setting up her abilities, I’ll just paste it in here. Not that it will convince you. You’re clearly just dead-set on hating this film regardless of any facts or evidence that anyone brings that should change your mind in any way.

THE lightsaber of your close friend actually is something

and am against being spoon fed concepts in movies

Then you didn’t read my original response, or you didn’t understand it.
