Spanish is a gendered language. Good luck with this “Latinx” nonsense.

Yep. We saw that happen in Texas, when the state basically smacked down the city of Denton over their city fracking ban. Apparently the party of “small, limited government” doesn’t think a city should be able to decide for itself what it wants to allow inside its borders.

“‘Cause it was the heat of the moment. Telling me what your heart meant. The heat of the moment shone in your eyes.” - Saric, probably

What she said was that football and mixed martial arts “are not art”.

Overall the speech was good and she brought it home, but I really did raise my eyebrows at her starting point: “all of us in this room, really, belong to the most vilified segment in American society right now.”

I do want it said and again and again how this has nothing to do with conventional politics.

Yes, but a law like that won’t happen here. Look at the state of American “capitalism”, look at the state of American politics and who is running things, and understand... it won’t happen here.

Personally I wouldn’t buy Excitebike or Ice Climber or Tecmo Bowl.

What on earth makes you think Anonymous is any different?

Jesus, I got a cavity just looking at that thing. Calling my dentist now...

He has literally, not figuratively, tanked companies’ stock prices from shit he’s put on Twitter - shit just like this. So yes, this is newsworthy.

I guess the upside to marginal car news like this is...

This is an advertisement, in every aspect save the one where money changed hands in exchange for its publication. (We think. This would honestly be a lot less embarrassing for SI to run if it were sponsored content and they just forgot to label it as such.)

Except he’s not doing anything. He’s just talking shit on Twitter. He’s not enacting any taxes, not signing any legislation.

I (obviously) don’t know what you’re missing, but Toys R Us has all the Infinity stuff marked down 75% right now. Individual figures are only four bucks, and the sets are something like $7.50.

Why get mad at it NOW?

Then again, I can’t imagine too many upper level employees are lurking lifehacker or reddit threads...

I’m not acting like it’s that simple, I’m outright saying it is exactly that simple. It happens literally, not figuratively, all the time. Small companies hire like that because it’s easy. Large companies hire like that - near the top - because at that level, networking is king. Everyone tends to know each other.
