The triple stumper on Henry Hill made me angry. Have none of those people seen Goodfellas???

Another idea: have him suffer from a psychological disorder and he has to see a therapist.

I remember sitting in the theater watching Prometheus, enjoying the first 20 or 30 minutes and thinking how it wasn't bad so far. I sat there the rest of the time waiting for the film to become good and go somewhere and the film never became good or went anywhere. It ended with a whimper and I walked out of the

Mello's stance doesn't bother me all that much and it sounds like he is pro-choice but wants to reduce abortions which is a common position by pro-choice advocates. It was just another instance of Bernie Sanders bothering me with his whole "purity test."

Jimmy Carter was the same way as well. Unlike most pro-life advocates, Carter actually supported policies that would help reduce abortions.

Wasn't the issue with Bernie also the fact that earlier in the week he questioned if Jon Osoff was a progressive but he gladly endorsed a candidate like Mello who had some questions about whether he was pro-choice? I don't have anything against Mello but I didn't like Bernie questioning one guy who is decidedly

I'm still trying to figure out if I should be excited for this. I'm leaning towards yes because of the trailers but then again, Prometheus had an amazing trailer and I didn't like it all that much.

Huh, I was just talking about the Narnia books in the thread about C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien hating Snow White. About 10 years ago when I was in my mid-teens, I would have been excited for this but now, I don't really care all that much. I might see it anyway since I liked the Silver Chair and it will depend on

Yep, the movies play more like fables or legends than as a continuous arc. Certainly in the first three films, there is an emotional arc for Max that reflects the world he lives in but Miller doesn't seem to be too concerned about how the films fit together timeline wise.

I must admit that the first time I watched Cars, I got incredibly emotional during the scene with James Taylor singing "Our Town" as the buildings start to decay in the town. It wasn't a very emotional film compared to other Pixar films but that part got to me.

That would mean Roger Ebert is insane since he gave Cars 2 a good review.

Eh, the first one is not a bad movie but it was definitely the "worst" Pixar movie at the time it was released. However, I am with you and that it did not deserve any sequels.

I believe George Miller has admitted that he doesn't really care about continuity and admits the timelines of the movies don't make too much sense. He just likes the world and uses Max as a way to explore it.

Gresham is incredibly protective about the Narnia books ala Christopher Tolkien. He took his stepdad way too seriously on many things about the books and was dismissive of the film versions. While he didn't make a big stink about the movies like Christopher Tolkien did, Gresham was still very critical of them even

That's how I felt about Tim Hasselbeck as well. Why was he even an analyst? He was a backup for a few years and the only reason he got the job was because his brother and wife were actual personalities.

Shouldn't you be over at Breitbart?

"You can't lose games in the National Football League and expect to win."-Actual quote from Trent Dilfer.

The Narnia series is an example of the good and bad things of Lewis' Christianity in his literary works. While it certainly does examine the good of redemption and hope for us all, it suffers from the problems of misogyny and teachings of salvation that plague Christianity.

I'll agree about the world building part of The Horse and His Boy was good because it was good to see an entirely foreign and different nation than Narnia and the other books only explored weird and wild areas. I just feel the story of both that and The Magician's Nephew are weak and compared to some of the other

I'll admit that there are maybe three good Narnia books: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, Voyage of the Dawn Treader, and The Silver Chair. The Horse and His Boy and The Magician's Nephew felt pointless, Prince Caspian was terribly structured, and The Last Battle devolved into nonsense by the end.
