Speaking of Passengers, I read a review that pointed out the "twist" and now, I wouldn't exactly call that movie "romance".

I watched it for…. wait, why did I watch Californication?

This guy is in for a shock when he discovers what religion Jesus practiced.

This account would have been so much funnier if he lost.

Shouldn't you be at an intelligence briefing right now?

As long as Michael Shannon gets a nomination, Tom Ford can do whatever he wants… except, you know, the things that the characters in Nocturnal Animals were doing.

Bob Dole has been setting up that Taiwan call for the last two weeks. If you are looking for evidence, well, it's been in the news for the last few months so…

The only reason that she wouldn't take a call from Taiwan is because Bob Dole helped set up the call directly to Trump and Dole has been a big Trump supporter. Russia may have influenced the election so I would say that is a pretty big deal to make since the intelligence reports seem to indicate.

We'll do it live!

Roger Ailes is the worst and I place a lot of blame on him for the state of politics and the Republican Party today.

I know! I'm so happy that I stuck with my principles and voted for Jill Stein! I mean, could you imagine how horrible things would be if Hillary Clinton would be president? Think of all those Wall Street people she would have brought in!*

It is alsolutely incredible. It's the kind of book that just sticks with you and you obsess over it for a long time.

Fiction:
Silence by Shusaku Endo
The Power and the Glory by Graham Greene
Live by Night by Dennis Lehane
The Bourne Identity by Robert Ludlum
The Diary of a Country Priest by Georges Bernanos (currently reading)

I would go with the dancing scene as the best scene in The Lobster. The first half of that film is absolutely brilliant but it could not keep up that brilliance in the second half.

It moved Will Smith… to a BIGGER HOUSE!

My favorite part is the incredibly blunt and exposition heavy dialogue that opens the trailer that describes the main character. It felt like a parody trailer for some dumb Oscar-bait holiday film but it actually exists as a dumb, Oscar-bait holiday film.

Collateral Beauty is a laughably bad trailer. Along with Inferno, I could not hold back the laughter anytime the trailer was shown in the theater.

From what I remember about the movie is that Cedric the Entertainer was one of the top-billed actors on the poster IIRC. I always found that odd even though he is in the film for a good portion of it.

I couldn't make it past the first five episodes because it was so heavy. The show was good but it became way too depressing to watch.

I can't take joy in these peoples misery because there are people in this country that Trump is going to marginalize that are going to be far more miserable than a bunch of people complaing about "establishment politics."
