What the fuck is happening at HBO? Their spring lineup is pretty much the only guaranteed success right now and I highly doubt Veep is going to last much longer and they can't keep relying on Game of Thrones. Girls is ending soon, Vinyl is a dud, who knows what is happening with True Detective, The Leftovers will end,

I liked Love… :(

The interesting part is that as much as I despise George W. Bush, I can at least appreciate the fact that he never went full blown "ISLAM IS EVIL!!!" and he told the American people that we have to stand with Muslims and avoided using the term "radical Islamic terrorists." Still, his policies in the Middle East are

Nothing is more obnoxious than when he goes on about how Obama doesn't call these terrorists groups "radical Muslims" and he believes that just because he says "radical Muslims", that somehow makes him more "courageous." Yes Ted, calling them "radical Muslims" will somehow work in the fight against terrorism. Fuck him.

I wish she was running for president.

I always thought Scorsese did a subtle job of putting religious themes in his films that go over the head of many people especially the religious crowd who find his work off-putting because of all the sex/drugs/language/violence. He's mentioned that he always wanted to make a film about Jesus which lead him to the

Terrence Malick sort of addresses the relationship that humanity has with God/the divine specifically Tree of Life. Scorsese has a film coming up this year about Jesuit priests being persecuted in Japan that, according to Liam Neeson, who stars in it, deals with the question of whether God exists.

Is it okay for me to say that my favorite scene in The French Connection isn't the car chase/train chase scene (which is fantastic) but Doyle's stakeout of Charnier and the cat and mouse game they play on the subway? I pretty much watch The French Connection if it is ever on television.

Wasn't there also some Anti-Catholic sentiment behind it as well? The Catholic Church doesn't forbid drinking and encourages it in some cases which clashed with the uptight Protestant thinking at the time.

Interesting but Bee mentioned how the one thing that turned her off from hosting the Daily Show was doing interviews with actors plugging a project they're working on. I'm glad that she gets to do her own thing as with John Oliver because it allows them to have a unique voice instead of trying to fill Jon Stewart's

While the trailer was incredibly underwhelming, most of Paul Feig's film trailers are. I remember thinking that Spy looked like the dumbest movie ever but I laughed incredibly hard throughout it and was my favorite comedy from last year.

Didn't Bee said she didn't really want to host the Daily Show? It really looks like Noah was the only person who was actually interested in taking over the show. If John Oliver stuck around, he probably would have been the natural successor and have been interested.

I pretty much binge-watched "House of Cards" for the entire weekend and Season 4 is a lot better than Season 3. Not to get too much into spoilers but things of consequence actually happen in Season 4 and, unlike Season 3, they seemed to finally figure out what to do once Frank and Claire got into the White House.

If there is one thing I learned in 2015 is that the world needs more George Miller. He should be in charge of the DC Cinematic Universe and not Zack Snyder.

His appearance on Parks and Recreation was great because he perfectly mimicked a NPR host.

Rewatching the show after all these years, I still could not believe that was Dan Castellaneta doing the voice of Grandpa. He did great work on the show which was always one of the strengths of Hey Arnold was the voice cast.

As long as they write his character saying "cocksucker" every five words, I'm totally on board with this. Now, I have to finish Deadwood…

This past Friday, I saw Brooklyn which I really liked a lot given that romantic movies aren't really my thing but I was totally invested in the love story. Plus, I liked the fact that it wasn't just a love story but a story about a character torn between what is best for her and what is best for others around her.

San Francisco is also getting destroyed a lot in blockbusters.

I still can't get over that dumb twist in White House Down about *spoliers ahead for WHD if you still care* the head of the Secret Service and the Speaker of the House are behind the terrorists attacks because they don't want world peace and they won't make money off of war. At least OHF had the North Koreans
