Yes, Roger Ebert often reminded people that even shit products were made by humans.

Yep, sorry friend. You’re also not allowed to go play in the McDonald’s PlayPlace even if your mother always refused to take you when you were little.
I don’t think people realize how insane it is that one guy made something like this. So. Much. Work. It looks great too, good on him.
Did you ever think this is one of the reasons why the series is so beloved? (4-6) Because Vader DIDN’T turn out just to be evil personified? The fact that Luke essentially saved his dad from himself I think holds a lot resonance for the non-hard-core sci-fi people.
...so, I take it you missed the bit in ESB that shows how conflicted Vader is about it all?
The real Kaiju threat is the studio who has decided to delay the sequel.
i wonder if he’s a terrible writer, or does something get lost in the translation?
But, seriously, I just don’t get why gamers are so defensive about their hobbies. I would never identify with a hobbyist culture so much that I’d want to threaten someone over it.
I’m one of the rare ones that like Fallout more since it went first-person. Hate me.
This sketch does not get nearly enough praise, but I think it might be his best:
“...he was a great guy with a big heart...”
And there was no mention of the trilogy that matters. Did he troll on the original or just the prequel trilogy? It isn’t clear, but it seems to be just the prequels. The prequels are bad. Especially compared to the original trilogy. They have some positive aspects that get buried under the hate, sure, but there’s more…
If you work an hourly rate, clocking out and back in for lunch is appropriate. If you’re salaried, it’s intrusive and ridiculous to have an employer track you that closely.
I have faith!
Ceasar is lulzevil for sure, but NCR is presented as incredibly flawed, and doomed to fail if they keep to their imperialist expansionist ways. Independent vegas through yes man or house are viable alternatives that have their pros and cons vs. the NCR.
So plenty of ambiguity, in my opinion.
Bethesda made no attempt to shy away from modern game-design philsophy when creating F3, and I think that was absolutely a good thing. There’s a difference between discovery and having no clue how to get from A to B (gameplay-wise). Old games seemed to take pride in the “frustration factor.”
Yeah, as a huge CRPG fan from Fallout’s heyday (I was more of a Baldur’s Gate guy, tho I did play Fallout 2 back then) I see nothing wrong with thinking that 3’s the worst game so far in the series, in fact I agree. But also, this kind of grudge holding is not a good look for gamers. The whole thing feels like…
Nostalgia is such a powerful thing. It can make you believe the first two Fallout games are perfect (they aren’t) and it can make you believe the last two games were terrible (they were amazing). I just like RPGS. Putting arbitrary limits on what is and isn’t an RPG only hurts the genre... and there’s no reason to be…
