I’ve always loved this movie. I recognized it at 15 for being the fanservice it was, and love it anyway. Its action setpieces are still pretty amazing.

Make sure to watch the “Complete” version. It feels much more like an actual movie than just a jumble of cool scenes.

This game highlights the biggest problem I have with MCU’s Spider-Man: He straight up stole Kamala’s personality.

Yeah, and that’s the big problem is that Fisher’s accusations about Whedon being “abusive” (which I’ve only placed in quotes because he has yet to actually elaborate on what that abuse entailed) are kind of low hanging fruit given Whedon’s current reputation.

Nobody’s corroborated his story. I almost feel bad about saying this, but I just don’t believe the guy. His proof, at least to me, just seems to confirm that no, he didn’t cooperate with the investigation. If he didn’t know to have legal counsel on stand-by to begin with then that’s just dumb on his part. The

Suicide Squad is only bad if you’re judging it purely by the movie.

And that we almost had a chance of this being an actual series until Hasbro bought the license.

I actually love it. I’m sick of just about all tech being, essentially, black rectangles.

Rob Bottin’s work is extraordinary. Everything the man did made you believe that the fantasy figure you were looking at could really exist. Look at the difference between his Robocop and the rebooted version of Robocop. The rebooted version is clearly a guy in a suit. Bottin’s Robocop has enough little details to

I love this to an almost stupid degree.

Looks great. I’ve always loved the original Medal of Honor. It had a kind of cinematic quality to it. The first time an enemy kicked my grenade back at me was a major “Oh crap!” moment for me.

Maybe he’ll actually suit up this time.

The one consistent point of praise I have for the Arrowverse is that their stunt casting game is the strongest in the business.

Take it! Take the damn star! I don’t even want it! Just never do this again, you monster!

I’m of the opinion that we are quietly in a new era of practical effects. We’re seeing more and more productions using practical effects and hybrid effects that rely on a practical source. It’s not being done with as much fanfare or blatant rockstar attitude like there was in the Stan Winston/Rick Baker/Phil Tippet

The Blue Ranger in the Power Rangers movie reboot was autistic, so there’s some progress (fairly certain, but not positive, that’s the first depiction of a superhero with autism in film or comics).

It just goes to show how sometimes a movie may not be good, but it can sometimes be far more interesting because of it.

Now playing

I love this movie so damn much. From Hoskins and Leguizamo being completely wasted and yet still turning in decent performances, to all the weird creature designs, to the extra-as-hell world building. This movie’s a blast and I’ll be cosplaying as movie-Mario in the near future. Terrible, terrible, terrible adaptation

Depends on which version of Superman we’re talking about. If we go with a version like in The Animated Series, damage is a little more reasonable.

It always read to me that he was being portrayed as an adult, especially the third movie, but I admit that me being a kid when I saw them could be coloring that interpretation.
