They were actually pretty successful in the realm of TV. Mario was supposed to launch their feature length movie career. The writers of the movie even said that the directors had zero interest in the video game, so the writers had to basically sneak all of the video game references past them.

And if you want to get technical the practical effects were really good, though that does little to save the movie.

The writers of the movie said that when they were working on it the approach they took was that the video game was the “Wizard of Oz” version of the story and the movie was the “real” story.

Yeah, but in her defense she had only two lines, one of which is clearly after being given the Amanda Waller treatment.

They should even put a mustache on Joker.

I really wish Rocksteady had gone just that one extra mile and made the sound effect graphics when you hit somebody.

And it’s unfortunate that they don’t get more money, but they don’t make videos that generate millions of dollars in ad revenues that they’re entitled to a portion of. I’m sorry, but I will never buy the argument that because Person A makes x amount of money, they don’t deserve it because Person B works a more

“The guy found huge success doing something he, and all of us, love.” That’s why a lot of people hate him.

But it is worth millions. The views on his videos generate millions of dollars. When that kind of revenue is generated it has to go somewhere, so it’s only natural that a percentage goes to the guy who actually made the content. Same thing with actors, baseball players, and musicians.

Yeah, I left a response to the last person that brought that up. I always mix them up because when I was a kid I thought Vice City was a stand-in for Vegas (I hadn’t seen Scarface at that point and made the obvious connection) so even to this day I’ll get them mixed up. Thanks for correcting me, though.

Sorry about that, childhood misconception of mine that still creeps up from time to time. Don’t know why, but when I was a kid I thought it was a stand in for Vegas (for some reason). I guess I thought the name Vice City corresponded with Vegas more or something. Thanks for the correction. I would have kept saying

If I was in charge of a live action Pokemon movie, the first place I’m calling is the Jim Henson company.

That would be pretty cool, but the major problem would be that Rockstar would have to create two versions of the same world. There are plenty of ways it can go after GTAV, though. Not just in terms of gameplay opportunities but in storytelling.

I would actually prefer that they don’t set it in the 80s. Set it in the present and focus on how Vegas/Vice City isn’t what it used to be at all. In fact, to take it one step further, I’d make Tommy the antagonist of the game.

The thing is this is an important story because the New 52 version of Superman was cocky and arrogant up to this point. He’s never been weak before. The previous version of Superman was humble and understood and empathized with weakness so they never had to do stories like this one. This is DCs way of getting us

Jurassic Park was the first movie my parents took me to a walk-in theater to see. Prior to that they just took me to the drive-in or stayed at home (they owned a video store, so it had to be a big deal to actually go to the movies). My mom tells me they took me to a few movies before. I don’t remember them. I remember

You know, I’ve always thought the best compromise for Superman’s powers was to make him a character that has POTENTIALLY limitless power. Have him have a certain power level that works for the majority of his stories, but then have him be able to “overclock” his abilities. The difference is that, like with the

We have won.

Yeah, the version released in 05 was either largely unfinished or so flawed they decided to do the bluray in 08 to fix it.

I can see that. It’s definitely a flawed movie, but for what it is I find it enjoyable.
