I don't get it... isn't the whole point of storing data on the cloud that it doesn't just go "poof"? Do they honestly think that backing up your cloud data (to the cloud, no less), should monoliths such as Google and Facebook ever completely go down, is a good selling point?

@Zombie16[THC]: Fair enough, I can agree with you guys on that. It is a bad call even from from a business standpoint—even if there's little that they actually can do to stop the root of the problem (G2Play.net and other such sites)—to chop off branches instead of going for the stem.

@Doomstalk: What exactly is it you're trying to convince me of here? Yes, I place some level of trust in the ethical practices of a company. What does it matter to you?

@Zombie16[THC]: Well, this isn't exactly just shopping around for the best price; it's not like Amazon just has a sale going on. It's a site that does nothing but sell CD keys. As much as people like Synthos would like to believe, if you are aware of the fact that a CD key is all you need to get a game working, then

@Synthos: I'm not really sure what point you're trying to make. I've never contested the fact that the copies themselves are legal, even if they were obtained under sketchy circumstances. All I'm saying here is that the people who purchased the copies through those sites knew that they were exploiting a cheaper

@Doomstalk: Eh, yeah, you're right about Valve making games if Steam went kaput. But then if they were still an existing entity after then, they'd probably do their best to get you access to all your games.

@Doomstalk: Yes, but Microsoft isn't "PlaysForSure." That went out of business. Likewise, Wal-Mart's music store went out of business. But these are wholly different arguments about DRM schemes. Steam, on the other hand, is Valve. If Steam goes out of business, Valve vanishes.

@Doomstalk: "Banning cut-rate foreign keys may seem ok to you, but what happens when they start using other more arbitrary reasons to ban your product key?"

@WhiteMåge: Well what are they supposed to do? Those stores selling copies to regions they're not supposed to aren't getting in trouble because there's virtually nothing they can do to stop those sales. So the only thing left to try is to punish those who know damn well that they weren't buying from a place that was

@WhiteMåge: Dude, seriously, quit fooling yourself with the "I bought a legal copy, IT'S MINE" bull shit. You know that old saying "If it's too good to be true, it probably is"? Yeah. That's because they weren't supposed to sell it to you in the first place. Quit fucking bitching, shut up, and either buy a copy

@WhiteMåge: Oh, shut up. If you want to pirate it, just pirate it. Don't fool yourself into thinking "No harm done" when you circumvent the regular channels with a smug grin on your face. You don't live in a place like Australia where new games are like $100, you're just a cheap bastard that's no better than a pirate.

I'd love something like this that can do more than just games. I'm starting to amass a pretty big book collection as well.

@AgentSnake: Even so, all those big updates are way more than what most games get. Valve <3

Personally, I'm a huge fan of the more modern Final Fantasy games, but I couldn't stand 12. I thought the free fighting system made it feel like a poorly executed single-player MMO, and the story was boring for far too long for me to stick around to see if it got any more interesting.

Call of Duty: Futuristic Warfare?

By the way, everyone, this web site is fucking awesome. My stomach could support one lonely tapeworm, I could survive for half a second on the surface of the sun, and 34 seconds after kicking a bear in the balls. #grammar

@-=[ArcSine]=-: Whoa, chill out, dude. If you like the SP, that's fine, but the game was designed from the ground up for multiplayer, so naturally the SP kind of falls short. Source bots were never the smartest, but they're probably smart enough not to throw a grenade under your feet during a horde attack. #left4dead2
