This year I decided to upgrade my stubble-beard to a real beard (2 inches roughly). In heinseight I’m embarrassed that I referred to my stubble-beard as just a “beard”. I feel like decades from now we’re going to look back and be like “why was tight, tapered beards a fashion thing?”.... even now I’m starting to think

I’m actually willing to go to bat that Vol. 3 is the best MCU entry since Infinity War.

Nilus, you are among my favourite commenters here. And I’m glad you saw Vol. 3 because it was actually fantastic. I think it’s the run of the last few MCU films underperforming but like, no one else I know in person saw Vol. 3.

This does feel a touch like the Black Adam JSA casting announcement

Also why does Barsanti think people want the same superman story retold over and over? Like really.... Luthor? I’m willing to throw down money he’s not the villain here.

Viola Davis tho? She’s definitely going to be continuing into Gunn’s DCU. I get that we might see her character with a different history considering her involvement in the Black Adam post-credits scene but like..... why are people forgetting about how large of a role she plays in the overall scheme of things?

I don’t overally care about it’s place in canon but characters like Harley Quinn and whatever the name of Viola Davis’s character exist within that franchise...

yeah where is this information coming from? Why wouldn’t that be canonical?? That’s one of the only DC films post Nolan that I enjoyed. We’re eagerly awaiting Peacemaker season 2 in this household. Why wouldn’t it be canon?

They’ve been dissecting this for years.

Don’t make me call my grade 1 teacher to whop your ass on the difference between colour and shades.

He killed it IMO

I think Hawkman from Black Adam is the canon we’re sticking to now, oddly.

yeah I had a solid chuckle at Barsanti describing Hawkgirl entirely through her relationship with a man. That reveals things about Barsanti *snicker snicker*.

it’s a jealousy thing

*every wannabe-writer myself included in the community of commenters who are secretly jealous of Barsanti*: hold my beer

Kelsey Grammer walked out of the freakin’ page with that casting. I don’t know that there’s ever been better casting in hollywood than Kelsey Grammer as Beast. That was peak.

I would argue he wasn’t an obvious choice for Beast in X-Men. He clearly goes to every audition. Good for him.

Good for him, he has great energy. Solid up-and-comer and based on this is sounds like he hits the pavement very hard. Happy to see Hoult headline someday.

I’m sure Hoult nailed the Clark Kent half of the audition.

Yeah, I appreciate that his star profile has been steadily growing over the years but there was no way “young Beast” was gunna be superman
