At one point did a song called “Work is the Greatest Game” play? That’s SOOOO appropriate because it was extremely evident here that this has always been a workplace dramedy.

Beard & Jade didn’t work for me but Beard rushing off the plane for his toxic love of Jade did actually feel like the final punchline in the “they’re a bad couple” joke so I will take it. The colour we’ve been given to his backstory actually gives me a longer leash for that. People I’ve known like Beard do tend to…
The appeal that made it different in season 1 was that it had such a big heart. It sounds like your of the camp that enjoying the show spinning its wheels and not the meat and potatoes. Shame. You should go back and re-watch it. Or like the later seasons of any workplace sitcom, you might like that better.
The early scene with Nate & Ted where the camera kept glancing at the spot where the Believe poster used to be was so powerful.
I really liked it, however,
this write-up has informed me that the episode was actually called “so long, farewell”.... and they just straight up did a musical number from an old Rogers & Hammerstein musical.... that was jarring. I realize the team, especially at practices, has always been more of a classic greek chorus…
“Just because people dont want a black actress to portray a white mermaid doesnt mean they are racist.” - oh I’m sorry I’ll excuse your not wanting to see a black actress on screen as something other than racist lol! I do not understand why racist hate being called racist so much. Just admit you don’t like black…
I’ve been on a nostalgia trip from a commenter posting a pic of Mary-Kate and Ashley on here. I’m 32 so more or less the perfect age to be nostalgic for them. I just wanted to say.... I remember in the early 2000s watching a bit on Comedy Central which was essentially a countdown to when Mary-Kate & Ashley were set to…
Oh I read-on/watched the trailer and it’s another one of those CGI skeleton creature running on walls film. Oh yay how original. We’ve been doing this dance since The Grudge. It’s scarier when you don’t see it.
The older Boogeyman film that I can’t even find on google cuz this title has been used a million times. That film was pretty bad but as a kid it terrified me. For a solid 15 years now the closet has needed to be in visible sight from my bed - just in case. It feels like my destiny to see this.
I’m coming up on the last 3 months of my stay in a-town-where-the-theatre-shut-down-during-COVID, I’m realizing this summer there’s films I wanna see every other week (Spider-Verse, Beast Wars, The Flash, etc.) and I just can’t ask my Dad to drive me an hour south every weekend...
Can we collectively agree to go back…
yah what was the runtime of last weeks episode. Man they’re long now.
for real
Also it was a Catholic high-school so we had to contend with sexualized lyric changes too “we made out under the docks!” was changed to “we told jokes under the docks!”
All of us students felt pretty embarrassed/stupid performing it.
Use your imagination to figure out how many lyric changes were in the song “Greased…
Honestly as much as I love the aesthetic of The Little Mermaid, I say ditch it from the Disney catalogue. As a male it isn’t as immediately obvious to me but this one really doesn’t have a healthy message for young women. I’m not in the camp of bastardizing literature until it meets our requirements just start from…
Yes, let’s cancel him!
Thank you for saving me the trouble of reading this. I will do wonders with the extra 20 minutes I have now.
Years ago I swear I saw a commercial where Robert De Niro was just.... playing a character in the commercial. Not as himself just a character... I was so confused. Just loves working I guess.
Is it a credit to become union system? I think to an extent actors need to collect work credits before becoming eligible to be unionized. Back when I was trying to make a go of it i remember hearing at cattle calls that they hired like 80% union actors and they purposely leave room for some non-union actors and that’s…
omg I haven’t seen a picture of them in years and I just see Wanda whoa.
This immediately sent me back to my preteens in the early 2000s gathered around ‘the boob’ with my parents. Good reference AV Club.
