The entertainment industry gets held to such a weird standard on this site. There are a-holes in every industry. You never hear of someone starving to death because they were too much of a jerk to work with.

“Whether it’s a massacre featuring a MAGA-inspired dildo or straight-up calling Lindsey Graham a ‘gooch licker,’ The Boys doesn’t give a fuck about pissing off the wrong people.”

It’s weird to think of The Irishman as a vanity project; I can’t imagine it being any fun to make.

The whole appeal of this franchise is the rapport of characters, which is based on them having so many shared experiences that they’ve developed a shorthand vocabulary. Can’t think of a worse candidate for an “origin story.”

Are people outside of the entertainment industry in constant contact with their former co-workers? Why is it always a story that people who used to work together haven’t spoken in a while?

It just seems insulting to say, “finally, representation for non-whites” about a movie starring Andy Garcia who has been playing characters of European descent in major studio releases for over 30 years.

So the big selling point of this remake is that the cast is two shades darker than Diane Keaton?

It’s not a private entity, it’s a sub-division of the government of Florida.

We never got a review for The Planet Is Burning.

This show is anything but dull. And I find its portrayal of Jabbar to be one of the most nuanced of any I have seen on television. It gives plenty of room for Jabbar’s perspective while maintaining that, regardless of his reasons, he wasn’t a great hang. 

Madeline Kahn’s Martha Mitchell from Oliver Stone’s Nixon was absolutely perfect, and I wish we got more of it. From the previews this seems like that performance mixed with Robert’s performance in Charlie Wilson’s War.

The Academy is a non-profit that exists to promote the interests of giant media conglomerates, why do the ratings matter at all? Produce a feed and give it to every streaming platform that wants to broadcast it live. 

If legislatures can’t decide what government employees do, what are they for?

“Person is good” seems like a weird angle for a story.
