Woody Allen was exonerated by the police who investigated him. Louis CK distributes his videos on louisck.com, who’s going to kick him off of that? And what did Tom Cruise do?

“ throw away a marriage to a smart, talented and (as if it mattered) beautiful woman”

“It’s a strange time to be promoting this, like, all-encompassing family game show that’s good for everybody” - Why? What makes this true?

This show holds up so well. I don’t think anything now comes close.

“he was Jewish and pushed to make a specifically deadly example out of Jewish Communists Julius and Ethel Rosenberg.”

The dinner party scene was odd. If Wendi and Tanner can be openly rude and dismissive to Axe at his own table, then what, if any, are the stakes of their conflict with him?

“White says nobody from Lady Antebellum’s organization bothered to contact her before the band switched its name to one duplicating hers”

You don’t think Lovebirds was better than Walk Hard?

I’ve often wondered what it’s like to record an audiobook. Just the thought of it exhausts me.

I loved the first round of his comedies, but by now we’ve seen every facet of this comic persona. Nothing in the trailer makes me think he’s added anything new to it.

Why is someone who believed what the dictionary said yesterday an “asshole?”

The show in Staying Alive makes no sense; it seems to require different camera shots to interpret, like they forgot it was supposed to be a stage show and not a movie.

If you find it hard to watch a sitcom, why not stop?

How do you know people don’t mean what they’re saying?

You’re asking for permission to have an opinion. Why would someone who disagrees with you say yes?

I like these bits, but all the comedy is coming from the editor.

I’ve still never seen camp used other than in essays that attempt to define camp

“these guys have a jukebox, a pool table, a pinball machine”

I have no problems with the actor, but I do not like the broody, scowling incarnations of Superman. It seems like a different character. Superman likes being Superman. He smiles. He’s cheesy. He’s just incompatible with the gritty reboot movement.

I haven’t heard anyone claim twitter content was protected by America’s First Amendment. But that doesn’t mean it can’t censor. “Censorship” does not just refer to government action. Movie studios censor. If your phone company didn’t allow you to send texts that they disagreed with, that would be censorship.
