Antoine Fuqua’s interprets Equalizer to mean that for every minute of ass kicking, Denzel must spend a minute making tea, driving for Uber, working at Lowes or other mundane activity. And I love it. I hope this new Equalizer borrows this.

Excellent comment. I wish more popular business writing had this kind of historical context. Most of it reads like coverage of a boxing match between corporate logos. Does “more in common with a production company than a proper studio” mean it can leverage IP assets via dealmaking but doesn’t have the physical plant
