Oh yes, a libertarian who cites studies that literally have nothing to do with the concerns outlined above. And using stock share prices? Are you kidding with this garbage?

Less regulation could push prices down too...

Wall-E and UP should be ranked at approximately the same level (about middle of the pack). Both have an amazing first 10 minutes, but once the “real plot” starts up, the movie loses what made it special.

Yeah we all know how the meat packing industry was great for the consumer until it was regulated to death. now i can’t find a fingernail in my meat if i wanted to!

Competition pushes down prices. These corporations have litigated and lobbied away any potential competition. Even Google, one of the largest companies in the world, have been all but stymied by the criminal levels of corruption that govern the broadband internet market.

Have you asked yourself why the ISPs care? If none of this was happening before the rules, and it isn’t going to happen after, then it has no impact on the ISPs and they shouldn’t be concerned about it.

No, they were not happening, but there were murmuring and testing of the water in regards to pushing into that territory.  That’s why it’s a protection...to prevent that from happening in the future.

This is flat out theft from citizens of the United States. We have subsidized telecom since it started in the 1800's and these robber barons owe us unhindered service.

Thanketh thee kind sir, i appreciateth the compliment and sayeth yond thou art solid as well.

There is no flop if the movie is good. The original Blade Runner flopped and the sequel as well and yet most people love those films. How much money a move makes doesn’t decide whether a movie is good or bad.

It was certainly written in a more sympathetic tone than it would have been had this actually been a 30-something man. I doubt his pain would have been acknowledged. And she wasn’t 13 forever.

I would argue that just because she FELT she needed to do that, doesn’t make it true. I didn’t see it in the article but I wonder how much success she would have actually had if she had tried under her own name/age.

Personally, I’d say that her age was probably more against her than her gender.

Never gave much thought to the size of Antarctica.

I would think they would love the movie. It’s all about how isolationism and not allowing immigrants makes a country great.

Eh. I don’t want to read subtitles the entire time during an action movie

Sure. And if private schools want to do it, that’s certainly their call. FSU isn’t a private school. Most of the schools with tens of thousands of students aren’t private schools. Or evangelicals. Lots of these schools exist as places for middling students to go and drink themselves into a sociology degree for four

For the same reason I’ve got skepticism about dealing with gun control in America the same way they did in Australia. It’s a bigger problem, more ingrained in the culture.
