What i never understood is why the games companies put up with it, the vast majority of leaderboards i've seen, on console especially have been full of obviously cheated scores... why not introduce a few more severe punishments for pulling off cheap wins and spoiling the competition for legitimate players.

I can't believe i haven't seen a reference to Fairy Tail, with the final episode being basically nowhere near the end of a story arc, or indeed any appropriate place, while i know there is something more coming, it was still a really crappy place to leave an awesome anime for years.
