I can respect where you’re coming from, but very few people are buying the book based on the publisher. As I understand it, the name Simon & Schuster likely won’t even be on the book since it’s being published by Threshold Editions (which is recognized as a conservative publisher much like Coulter’s Regnery

And that’s fair to be disappointed. I’m disappointed with the decisions that companies make in the name of profit every day. This one doesn’t strike me as that bad to be honest because he’s just a troll who says dumb shit. I didn’t see any articles complaining about Ann Coulter’s publisher or When OJ published a book,

Seriously what do you expect? The publisher is going to make money on this book so they are publishing it. That’s what they do. They are not the morality police, they are a business.

I really just don’t get the point to this post. I wouldn’t have had any knowledge of this book if it wasn’t for this post, and now I’m

It’s not the publisher’s job to take a moral stance. Their job is to sell books. Controversial figures sell books. If you look for a publisher to be the morality police, you’re going to have a bad time.

Ok, so I agree with everything that you’re saying, but as a white male I’ve encountered this scenario: a POC claims racism when a seemingly innocuous thing is said and a white male says, “That’s not racist because [insert logical explanation as to why it’s not racist here]” and it’s met with: “you don’t get to decide

In the Packer’s 4 game losing streak:

This is just a ridiculous generalization that has no real basis in reality. I’m a Green Bay fan living in Wisconsin and never once heard someone say that he was “washed up” or that it was “time to move on”. I heard people say that he didn’t seem like himself and he was in a slump, but that’s quite different.

Even if

I don’t think you know what VIOLENTLY means...

Aggregate score was 3-2 I think. Basically they take the total goals scored in the matches that they played against each other.

Great throw and great catch IMO. Rodgers threw a dart and trusted Adams to make a play. Both deserve credit for this play.

I love this idea. Seems pretty plausible, don’t they already do with in soccer with advantage? Seems like it would be easier to do with football since there is a beginning and end to each play, while soccer is continuous.

Keep saying “fuck you” to people. It’s known to turn back time and reverse election results. It’s also is known to make people think, “Yeh, you’re right, fuck me!”

You live in a world where not everyone thinks the same way you do and things might not go the way you think they should. Get over it.

Let’s all play this game! Fuck people who are throwing blame at anyone other than Hillary and the DNC.

I wrote in Bernie in a swing state and feel just fine about it, I really couldn’t care less what you or anyone else thinks about it. The DNC betrayed the trust of millions of voters and has no one to blame but

Thanks for having a dialogue with me. As I’m sure you’re aware, this can be a really difficult subject to talk about with people, which makes it really hard for someone like me to gain perspective. You’ve helped a great deal and I’ll continue to try to grow in this area.

Thanks for your reply. You and others in this thread have helped me gain some very important perspective on this issue. I really appreciate the concise explanation.

Thanks much for your reply. It really is appreciated.

Thanks for the genuine reply. I really appreciate it. I said in my original comment that I understand sexism is certainly present in politics, I just thought these were poor examples, which I thought was indicative that I believe there are definitely more egregious examples out there. The hyperbole I used didn’t help.

What about either of my comments makes me a bigot? The fact that I don’t accept that sexism is automatically present every time someone claims that someone else is being sexist? Looking back maybe it was the “90%” comment when I realistically think about half the examples weren’t legitimately sexism.

I think when racism and sexism get thrown around carelessly, they get diluted, which helps nobody.

I bet that makes me a bigot in your eyes.

This post should be titled: “In Politics, Personal Attacks are Casual and Routine”.

Is it really sexism if everyone is subjected to the same kind of mudslinging regardless of gender? I don’t doubt that sexism exists in politics, I just think that 90% of the clips/blurbs you picked were poor examples.
