You may already be logged into a google account on your phones web browser and have it set to remember me/auto log in/never sign out. So when you scan QR code to log in, your phone auto logs into you account, rather than having to enter a password.

Sitting in the left hand seat, and being the captain, the control column would have to be in his left hand so that the pilot can control the power with his right hand, which allows the co-pilot/1st officer to be able to take over control is need be.

What is the reasoning behind Lenova avoiding western markets with their phones? They make some pretty nice kit, but we never get to see it, let alone buy it.

Fair enough, it seems that the problem may still exist, and I have just been lucky enough to have had hardware that works with it. Would be nice to get it sorted out, as that will be a major sticking point for media centers running linux

I have used sound over hdmi with several different distributions. And recently it has just worked out of the box. I use recently loosely as well, the last time I have problems with is was a few years ago

"It's just a shame that every other Xperia to date has sucked ass." The X10 was almost identical to the HTC Desire, which got a very good review on here when it first came out.

juK. It is so lightweight and "you cant do it wrong" that it makes it really simple to just play my music. I dont have to worry about it eating to much ram or cpu, it just sits there. And when I fancy listening to a song, I just search for it and add it to the play que. simples

Just got out of a Google Hangout webchat on my laptop with all the mobile carriers in the world. They all can't wait to stop this from actually happening

The 2 previous "prada" phones have not been overly expensive compaired to any other phone, at least not in the UK anyway. And this isnt really a Prada phone. It is an LG phone, and they have asked nicely to stick prada on the back of it.

Just by looking at the colour of Mountain Dew should be enough to say "dont drink me, I am probably not good for you"

That is the first thing that came to my mind.

You can't not broadcast your network though. Hidden SSID'd are not part of the wifi protocal, and just some fancy addon if any client is connected. And I would bet that 90% of channels have at least one client connected all the time. I can see all network, 'hidden' or otherwise on a linux machine.

That would be another great implementation for it! There could be so many possibilities here. Even things like when I open my tablet browser, there is an option to open the page that my phone had open. Seems like something that would makes sense to include, but only Palm have ever given it a go

I was still kind of hoping for data syncing between phone and tablet when connected over bluetooth, and built in tethering like that as well. Much the same way as webOS does. I think keeping my phone in my pocket when I am working with my tablet would be a great feature, and just reply to the text there and then. Was

I hope Canon will still throw the megapixels at the 5d series. The will almost have to if they still want to compete in the studio market. The 5d can become their new studio camera, with crazy megapixels, the 1d series their amazing at everything/sports camera, and push the 7dmk2 as a sport back up camera with lots of

I am fairly sure, with the possible exception of the ipod, that those products are going to have life cycles longer than the next 4 years.

For good zooming in video, you really need a fixed aperture zoom lens. It will be a nightmare trying to zoom, and correct ss or iso while the aperture changes. Not to mention no sign of IS, which at 100mm (x 2.7 crop) will be very hard to hand hold

Awesome. I can't wait to get reading more of your articles Kat!
