@andyo: Ah thanks, i knew about the difference between ef and ef-s, but was clearly confused about the manual to auto focus transition. So as long as there is a 35mm format, then my EF lens's will be around to stay. Good to hear before i go and put some money into new lens's.

@HiAperture: Ah, i never put two and two together, in digital with EF and 35mm. I just always thought that F from the old canon slr's was replaced with EF as a format, rather than just an update for digital.

I hope and don't hope they start implementing this into their dSLR's. After just spending a lot of money on a t1i, i would be pissed if they stopped making EF len''s to focus and start making these eis len's.

Android certainly has made a massive impact on brand awareness. I remember when some of my friends had HTC Winmo 6 phones. None of them knew it was HTC, and all argued with me when I told them HTC made their phone.
