@allinthefamily: for mid-term sealing i think it's still a viable application. i guess that precludes a factory-sealed gadget then, unless they develop a completely closed-system rechargeable battery technology...

@Nick2: well, if the mic is bt: problem solved. albeit i'd prefer a more reliable wireless technology than bt. also, an input based on the throat mic would solve the ambient noise problem.

@TomXP411: For blocking domains from search results, there's the OptimizeGoogle for Firefox add-on. Although it just collapses their result box and, for me at least, the add-on works only intermitently. #googlecaffeine

Totally unrelated, but: I live in a town in Quebec, Canada where we have a pilot program that also uses an 811 number, although it's to prescreen and diagnose medical conditions and injuries so as to avoid people clogging up hospital emercencies and medical clinics.
