I might try that. I don't keep icons on my laptop's desktop but my work PC has icons on the desktop that my office pushes out. We're not able to delete them.

Exactly, I'm making $50k right now a few years out of college (1st year at current job) and I think it's a pretty low salary compared to people I graduated with. Not a teacher though.
