My Ocarina of Time Golden Cartridge was stolen by the carpet installer when it was quite new (or is installed under the carpet in house I moved away from in 2003).

Voice overs in Japanese RPGs are universally awful. Even FFXV’s voicework is underwhelming at best and outright cringeworthy the majority of the time. I think people get nostalgic for old Japanese RPGs because the sprites and scrolling text were minimalist enough to let your imagination fill in the gaps. There’s

Losing your own golden cart can only be a story of tragedy or treachery.

Dragon Quest runs on nostalgia. They’ve avoided voice acting in the numbered games for that reason. IIRC, VIII only had voice acting because it would seem out of place in the west.

we need a larger version so we can use it to play DnD.

Is this for sale? IF they can mass produce it, I will gladly order mine

Good shit. Also hes not like a bunch of the others who need a new gimmick or creative direction to make a new game. He seems happy pumping out a new DQ with some slight diffrences. Not a complete redesign that no one likes.

I would be shocked if the basic battle system wasn’t the exact same one they’ve used for every other Dragon Quest game.

You’re about 20 years too late with this joke.

You can *always* trust the Dragon Quest team. They’re the only part of Square Enix that consistently puts out stellar products. This is because DQ has never changed hands. Yuji Horii is still in charge of the franchise as he was when it began.

It’s kind of amazing that we’ve essentially had a decade of dual screen gaming, and unless I am mistaken, this is the first time anyone has utilitzed that concept.

Nostalgia is what dq does best

We found the blind person in the comments, y’all.

I, personally, really like the visuals as a nice change from so many other games. The assets for models and some other effects at least look to be ramped up a decent amount compared to Dragon Quest Heroes. The new Zelda looks great at first but having seen some of its gameplay it seems to be extremely repetitive and I

Looks pretty beautiful to me, not sure what you are disapponted about.

That thing with the 3DS using both screens to show a 3D version and a sprite version of the game is the neatest thing.

That’s fair. But in that case don’t NAME the person you are exaggerating about for a bit. For example: “Yeah, I was contacted by a celeb who wanted to know about why people were upset about whitewashing Dr. Strange” and leave it at that. Once you say “Tilda Swinton said to me” then you sort of lose your ability to

I mean, she can do all the bits she wants, but she really trashed Swinton here. At what point does your bit have to be at least a little bit true if you’re going to trash someone in it? The e-mails make clear that the exchange was civil and pleasant. Overall, Swinton appears open, even if she doesn’t address Cho’s

How does one determine when she’s speaking as an advocate and when she’s doing a bit. Is her whole push for more Asian representation just a joke?

Tilda classy AF.
