I “joke” all the time that my cats can see ghosts. They will just be doing their thing - cleaning, purring, etc. - and then suddenly their attention will be yanked away and they will focus extremely hard on something... but nothing is ever there. Then just as suddenly, they will go back to whatever they were doing as…

I like to joke that when my cats go crazy, tearing ass through the house and meowing loudly, it’s because they can see things that we can’t. Stories like this (and the one in the OP) make me think.. maybe that’s not too far from the truth, you know?
