I've been a Zooey fan before all of the nerdyness came about... I've actually lost a bit of respect because of the Nerd Queen persona.
Ya, maybe I did take it a bit too literally. I just think the issue with this is it teaches people (and especially brand new drivers in drivers-ed for example) that you "own the road" or that sort of defensive driving takes some of the courtesy out of it.
Instead of #7 how about just focus on the road? You don't need to turn off your radio or not bring your phone with you... Just exercise the self-control to not bother with it while you're driving.
