This is the second hotfix. The first one was one week after launch. That’s pretty standard - Elden Ring and Tears of the Kingdom both got their first hotfix after a week too.

We’re expecting a rate of updates in line with other games. Taking three weeks (four if you include early access) to release a hotfix is slow compared to most games.

Notice how every top comment is people having absolutley sane reactions? I had to scroll pretty far to find someone shitposting.

Sounds perfect for the 23 year old in 2023. Have you met a modern gen z adult? They don’t exactly look like they just clocked out from the coal mine. One minor benefit of all that child labor and tobacco regulation we put in place that republicans are trying to dismantle.

The games look and run great on anything but Switch. There is no need to re-re-master them. Its just great to have them available on current gen systems. There's no need to add more to them. Metal Gear gains nothing from 'Ultrawide'

Yes, lets talk about interative mediums, where they are designed to run and be played a particular way and if you tinker with them too much because you obsess over an arbitrary frame rate they break.

It doesn’t matter to me. Peter Parker looks different in different movies and it doesn’t bother me. Same with Batman, and many other comic book characters. Even in the comics they look different depending on who’s drawing.

His face popped up in Miles Morales and I physically cringed. It’s like a weird, plastic, dead doll’s face compared to the expressiveness of the original. Like they’re afraid he’s going to look ugly if they give him actual facial expressions.

All other things aside with how unimpressive this already is, but why is MGS2 running at 30 on the Switch ever? It was 60 FPS on the Playstation 2, there’s no reason the handheld Switch version should be operating at 30, let alone the docked mode.

FucKonami!

Okay, very few games run at native 4k 60fps. Yes, PS5 and consoles output to 4k, buts by and large upscaled from a lower resolution (which to be fair, is totally fine). Even on a high end PC most hardware is going to struggle to hit native 4k 60fps unless you have a 4090. (Hint: I have a 4090). So please stop with the

This is a really dumb problem to have, honestly. I miss when characters were designed by artists rather than real people scanned in with a computer.

I don’t like the new face, looks too young but that is just my Opinion and this is not the problem i have with the face change.

The problem I have is they said that it would help facial animation and it was necessary. I’m a rigger in the video game industry and I call this statement bullshit. Especially with today’s

Anyone who’s tried to get a decades-old game to run on modern hardware has learned the hard way that many of these games were designed with a very specific framerate in mind, and once you crack the cap, the game breaks. When an engine is coded to run in sync to an expected frametime, uncapping the framerate will

Outside of stuff like Game Pass where you can ‘bank’ an extended period of time at a pretty steep discount if you keep an eye out, I’ve long since adopted the a la carte purchase model with subscriptions, which is to say I cancel them the instant I buy them.

Completely removes the burden of trying to keep track of

Why would you play a game to have it mimic movie framerate and all of its features? Doesn’t make sense to me. It plays worse, turning the camera becomes motion-sickness inducing and strains your eyeballs.

It’s not the BEST response since quality of parts alone doesn’t account for everything but I get where Todd’s coming from. I’m sure they optimized the game fine using the tools and builds they had available for them during optimization testing. They’re not going to optimize for every possible part-swapped, patch

You have some serious reading comprehension issues. Here’s the very first thing I said in my previous response:

Bullshit. That’s just flat out not true.

It was mediocre to jank gameplay-wise, and all the updates til now were just band-aids despite whatever the “It’s fixed now/it was always great!”* people will tell you (if that were true, CDPR wouldn’t be doing 2.0). This massive overhaul finally seems like what the game was always supposed to be.

in that case i’m surprised you considered this comment worthy
