They (EA) put themselves in this position. If you can’t have a “Fixed” game ready by the time a very massive franchise is about release, don’t be surprised when it bites you in the ass.

The Battlefield franchise is an interesting one to me. I have very fond memories of the series from 1942 to 2, and from then on the series seems to absolutely insist on being as uneven as possible.

This isn’t the first Battlefield game with a rocky release either, rather this is the one that finally upset enough fans…

There’s an AV Club interview with Billy West from YEARS AGO where he openly complained about this process. Apparently voice actors will come in, do the work of finding the character, and then the studio will take those notes and give them to a big name actor. 

It may not even be about the offer, but the process itself.
