Absolutely.
Absolutely.
Futurama did the same joke with "The Mutants Are Revolting", and given that said mutants were revolting because they'd been forced to live in the sewers, I suspect there's a relation.
I'm hoping she shows up now and again like River did.
Maybe sometimes, but the part with the gas masks (which I can't find on YouTube for some awful reason) is one of the funniest things I've seen on Doctor Who.
True, but not that there was anything wrong with Simm's version. Remember the bit with the gas masks?
Yyyyyup.
Congratulations!
That's probably my favorite line from the whole season. Not for humor, but for catharsis. (I learned that word from Film Crit Hulk.)
This show might actually be lesser than the sum of its scenes. Fish atop some random guy delivering that inspiring speech, Bruce steamrolling the egos of Wayne Enterprises' directors, anything with Bullock…they don't always form a good episode of television, but it's worth watching every week to see more of them.
The main thing that disturbed me about this episode, far more than the snake: Zsasz has a better evil laugh than the Joker. That just does not bode well.
So if Jerome is going Red Hood in the next episode, where will they go from there? Just have him be the Red Hood indefinitely? I can't imagine what this show would look like if it pulled the trigger.
Kinda close. The actual joke was so good.
What do you mean?
I love Moffat's work on Doctor Who, and prefer his era to RTD's, but I still can't help but hate the guy. Just a little.
If that mutual lie was Clara's final scene, it would have been more heartbreaking than anything that ever happened to Donna. And Donna is my favorite companion, whereas I don't really care about Clara.
Seconding #6. It's weird that Captain Jack still hasn't shown up despite being a Moffat character.
I never had any strong feelings one way or the other for Danny, but his scene here was his absolute best, despite his being an imaginary Danny.
Hermes does that a few times, too. "Stop talking like that! You live on the Moon!"
So, are we not getting any more…?
I was expecting a "You're damn right," in response to the mayor's "You don't know where the edge is." That would have been awesome.
