As I understand it, Jeep charges extra to use navigation on their screens. Or you can use CarPlay for free. GM wants the sweet sweet subscription money without providing an alternative, and they are hoping consumers are dumb enough to bite. Ford is rightfully giddy about this prospect.

Ford made that decision based on the data that most people wanted a truck or SUV. It’s a risk, but it’s logical. GM is getting rid of Car Play even though the data shows everyone wants it. That decision makes no sense at all.

Opposite. Many LE vehicles are run 24 hours between the 2 12 hour shifts (save for Sheriffs/Servers/Chiefs), and the evening folks often spend less time at the station/dispatch. You might have 15 officers rotating about 4-5 vehicles... and those include “spares”. We did often about 90-120 miles per day per car but
