I might be dating myself here but I’m old enough to remember what Susan Smith in South Carolina did back in ‘94. None of this stuff is new.

pulling my shirt to my nose for a quick sniff to see if the BO I’d been breathing for the last 20 minutes was me or my Lyft guy (him, totally him)

As great as the Honda manual transmissions are (best on the market)...

The personality of a toaster......and the reliability of one as well.

My favorite part of being a dad is the 20-second walk from my car to the building when taking my four-year-old daughter to preschool. Something about that walk—holding her hand while she’s carrying her lunchbox; the reflection in the glass door of us (her half my size, giddy, and usually skipping)—just does something

First of all this “zipper” thing sounds like bullshit.

“The cheapest vehicle is the one you already own.”

So much for having a good Friday. After reading that first section about Akeelah Jackson, my morning mood is pretty much trash at this point.  I want to know how does the cop live with himself after something like that or if is just an “oh well, shouldn’t have happened” type of thing.  I’m done with the Internet for

You were quicker on the draw than I was but Joe Jackson was the first person I thought of when I read that.

And in other breaking news...

I should preface this all by saying that I’ve yet to be able to absolutely confirm that this absurd email is real....

My money says they didn’t.  Or I should say Erik’s money.

Change tires to winter air....I knew forgot something!

Anyway, I signed off, and three hours later I got a call to say that the car was done, I went back, paid them, and drove off, testing it a little bit, since the dealer also said the engine “wasn’t running well” because of the dirty injectors.

Ouch!  (and I agree)

The work included things you would expect on an 11-year-old car with 68,000 miles on it: The serpentine belt had a crack in it and needed replacing, the coolant was dirty and needed flushing, ditto with the brake fluid, the fuel injectors also needed cleaning, as did the throttle body.

Am I missing something here?

I’m seeing them everywhere, so much so that a buddy of mine and I thought Hyundai/Kia was almost giving them away.  Have never been in the market for an SUV so I never knew what they cost.  All I can say is wow...
