Well, the word “bitch” is misogynistic. Taking credit for a woman’s achievements and implying that she should fuck you because if it is misogynistic. Reducing a powerful woman to whether or not he’d fuck her is misogynistic. Everything he’s ever said to or about Amber Rose is misogynistic. Victim blaming and

Ooh, okay. It’s possible that the way Kinja stacks the comments just made it look like you were responding to this post, and I misunderstood the context of your statement. I see what you mean now.

Which is relevant to her response to this critique how, though?

I don’t understand why you think that male artists misogynisticly dragging female artists in order to promote themselves at a woman’s expense is okay just because it’s common. No one here is arguing that it’s more wrong because Kanye is doing it. The argument is simply that it’s wrong.

Personally, I do think Wanda Nichols’ story is probably fictitious for this reason:

He called her a bitch and talked about fucking her. Did I miss the day he said that about Beck?

When has Taylor Swift taken to twitter to defend Bill Cosby or harass Amber Rose’s family about her sexual history and call her beautiful child a “trap”? He also defended Kylie and Tyga. And now he says he’s $53million dollars in debt and is asking Mark Zuckerberg for a bail out. I don’t hate Kanye, but he’s been a

Yeah. There’s something about the response that strikes me as cheesy, but that’s not exactly a cardinal sin. And it seems transparently shitty to me to judge the inoffensive way she handled a bad situation more harshly than we’re judging the guy who created it.

Well, in this instance, she was.

How else was she supposed to take it? He referenced her directly, talked about fucking her, called her a bitch, and said he made her famous.

You don’t understand how it’s misogynistic to say you made a female artist and talk about whehter or not you’d fuck her?

IDK are there still mirrors?

I definitely feel that as a general criticism of her. But I also think that since this was a direct response to something that was said about her, it’s kind of different. To me it seems less like trying to get in the news for saying a “feminist” thing, and more about changing the conversation and taking her power back.

Yeah, I get you. I agree that she’s definitely not like, a feminist icon or a brilliant feminist thinker, or anything. She’s like the Target of music. But as far as reactions to a guy saying some gross shit about you in an album go, I just don’t see why this is being judged as “insufferable,” and why Kanye’s misogyny

I’m super not getting what insufferable thing Taylor Swift did here.

I really doubt that Taylor Swift told Kanye West that they might still fuck one day.

In my experience, Italians LOVE white American girls. Like, too much.

Austin is crowded enough, tbh. Go live in Colorado Springs or something.

Honestly. They’re talking to a bunch of young women who are savvy and politically engaged, and treating them like idiots for having a different perspective. We all hate mansplaining, let’s not heap that same condescension on each other.

I think I found one, guys.
