1) Yes, and the men who are identified as rapists have an average of six victims, so I would especially not want to date someone who had raped enough people to actually get caught. That’s generally not a one-off situation. And if I learned that a man I was dating had raped someone and not gotten caught, I would leave

Be careful. She might sue you for saying that.

I lived in a couple of different parts of Texas. (Travis County > Harris.) I honestly don’t hate Texas. Or Virginia. Or Florida. I’m a little surprised everyone’s getting that read.

YEP. Me, too. I won’t go out with a guy unless I can google his name and find an electronic footprint that indicates it’s a real name, and no indicia that he’s raped anybody. I avoided going out with a guy who was recently convicted on child porn charges this way. I’m sure he would have been in jail still if his

Perhaps you can recognize that you don’t speak for all victims, and yours is not the only experience a victim can have. I strongly object to using the word “ruined” with regards to rape victims, but many do suffer lifelong harm or find their lives derailed by the trauma. There are lifelong consequences for many rape

More than 50% of people in jail are drug offenders, so no, I don’t think that’s “the reason.”

“Having to move when you don’t want to and not being able to attend a PTA meeting is so much worse than being raped,” said no one, ever.

They’re right to say that age was probably a factor in the commission of his crime. 17-19 year olds are far more likely to commit a violent crime than any other demographic.

Incidentally, the vast majority of violent crime is committed by men between the ages of 17 and 19.
