Because if you own a pass-through business your taxable income is the profits of the business. They get taxed as a corporation, not as an individual. When the corporate tax rate gets cut, so does their tax rate.

None of these people are lawyers. The case that the DOJ is investigating is already filed and has been since . . . 2014. The DOJ will probably intervene on behalf of the Plaintiffs at some point. But virtually everything in these comments is stuff people probably pulled from the prison law library.

This case has been pending for years. No one is laughing at it.

No, the Plaintiffs in that case are arguing that Harvard has used quotas for ALL ethnic groups for a long time and haven’t adjusted them over time. Their discrimination claim is that demographics have changed, but the quotas haven’t, therefore they’re being discriminated against.

No, people in the US definitely refer to wide swaths of Asians as “Middle Eastern.” It’s Middle Eastern, Chinese, and Asian where I am. There’s no real rhyme or reason to it.
