Have you ever actually had a Brussels sprout? Those things are delicious when properly prepared.

Well, one example that was thrown out there was, for instance, the ones teaching at my HS had used cars (formerly owned by Enterprise Car Rentals) for the community to use. Versus the Jesuit who was president of the university, who always had a *nice* Audi or BMW or similar to drive.

Enjoy your typhus.

1990s television, Simpsons excluded, was focus-grouped mush.

TV is much, much better today. It’s not even close. TV shows were bigger because there were half the mediums and AMC and Netflix hadn’t figured it out, so they got the ratings, but Christ man, Wings was a pretty decent hit for NBC. And you know what, compared to what else we had Wings wasn’t that bad.

90s TV was the worst.

Or you could just keep playing those games on all of the available platforms with emulators, not have worry about the system/cartridge breaking, and still have access to all of the modern games as well.

Nostalgia is affecting your judgment.

...Although, I’ve heard it snarkily said of the Jesuits, “they take a vow of poverty and make others live it” - which, not all (certainly not the ones who ran the high school I attended, and the current pope), but with enough truth of others (certainly the appearance sometimes of the president of the Jesuit university

I honestly don’t even think Scotty is capable of coming up with a smokescreen that complex. He looks like someone whacked him over the head with a metal bucket. Repeatedly.

I can tell you who wiped out the Templars

In truth I think only Cruz is the only smart one in that bunch but he pretends not to be. I think Ryan is always puffed up to be smart but his “plans” and ideas are always pretty lightweight. Walker reminds me of Dubya, but without the charm.

I wonder how much it would cost to build a 5,525 mile wall.

Yep, and he looks like Einstein next to Scott Tissuebrain.

Remember when Jeb Bush and Scott Walker were going to be the Republican front runners and Trump was just some side-show that was going to fizzle and burn within a few weeks?

I know it’s probably an annoying conceit when people use “Well I guess I don’t get it because I’m an OLD” dismissively. Sort of like “Well it looks good on you” or “Bless your heart you adorable little hipster, you just don’t know better”. That being said there’s probably a million reasons why I’m “meh” on this but

I didn’t even watch the video. The Miley quotes were enough. Ooo, she smokes weed and takes other drugs - so cool. She has talked to trans people and decided that she sometimes feels like a boy, sometimes like a girl. She goes to a Chinese healer. She doesn’t hang out with other rich and famous people, despite being

Like, on the one hand, I really like that Miley is embracing the genderqueer label and seems to truly embrace the queer culture and will hopefully allow other people struggling with fitting into gender labels feel more able to come out and speak openly about it.

Wow, Scott Walker’s demise in the Iowa polls is astounding. From the very beginning of the primary process, he was always the leader, commanding >20% in a crowded field for months and months at a time. Even when Trump first broke 20%, Walker was still tied for first with Trump. But in the weeks after the first debate,
