GM still underrated certain cars even in the late 90's and 2000's.  I’ve read several articles where they tested the LS1 4th gen Fbodies versus the LS1 C5, and they were within 10 hp of one another, despite GM claiming that the C5 had 345hp and the base Trans Am / Z28 being rated at 305hp.

And when they do repair the roads, these use shitty asphalt. Guaranteeing that it will need to be replaced every year or 2.  But hey someone has to collect their kickbacks for the contracts.

Those are great cars.  I proudly owned one for 7 years.  They should have never offered these with an automatic transmission though.  The manual was the only option they should have offered.  That car would do every bit of the 150mph speedometer max.
