My issue with California emissions, is if you have an aftermarket part that would otherwise pass their smog test, and they don’t have that carb number on the part, they still fail it.  It’s not cheap to get a part carb approved, and in the end it just fucks over the consumer and the companies who manufacture parts…

If you are talking about ignition timing, that’s the only good case for using that word.  Otherwise it just makes you look like a punter.

Interesting car and at 4k, I’d have to say nice price.  However, if I were buying this, that Northstar would be the first thing to get yanked out, and I’d look at the possibility of putting an LS4 in it’s place.  Not a fan of the Northstar motor even though it was impressive for the time.

Honestly 400hp is a tune and an intake manifold away.  Sure it’s not factory but I’m sure that they dialed back what they could have done with it due to driveability and warranty concerns.  Or switch to E85 and a tune.  I’m a huge fan of V8 engines but this would make me consider getting the HPP Ecoboost and dialing…
