Came here to say the same.  The purchase price of the Land Rover is a down payment on years of wasted paychecks and swearing.

Same here.  First Toyota was also a MKI MR2.  In the 7 years I owned it, I had to replace the clutch (at 187k and it was the original clutch), a starter, and a battery.  That’s it.  Thing was rock solid and as reliable as the sunset.

That’s a risk that I am more than happy to take. :)

I have an identical setup in my car.  Because I don’t trust people to be honest if they cause an accident with me, and I don’t trust police to be honest if I get pulled over.  If they have a camera in their cruiser and body cams, I have the same right to protect myself from unwarranted claims.

I think that the officers should pay the lawsuit settlement out of their own paychecks.  And I hope the homeowner wins.  The reason I say that they should pay out of their own money, is because taxpayers are getting punished for the police fuckery, instead of the police themselves.  Maybe they would stop pulling this…

I actually think that they are overrated.  If you want a Supra without paying the supra tax, get an SC300 and drop a 2JZ into it.  And you can actually find a manual. 

That’s pretty much the type of drivers I see around here driving the IS300.  Same type that drives a G35 coupe with plastidipped wheels, dual fart cannons, and blacked out windows.  Did I mention that the G35 sounds like explosive diarrhea with the fart cannons?

Most people are incompetent with regular piston equipped motor maintenance.  Not saying that these are great reliability wise, but they last longer if you maintain them properly and understand operating procedures to ensure longevity.

Who in their right mind would buy this stuff?

If you want bluetooth and a touchscreen, but want to buy an older miata, Joying and Pumpkin offer some reasonably priced head units.  I use a Pumpkin in my car and for $300 and 20 minutes of my time, I’m pretty happy with it.
