I'm only familiar with Roxane Gay's work in the Toast and I think she left because she got some "exciting new opportunities" - guess this was one of them! She's got a strong voice so it'll be interesting to see how that translates to a more visual format.

Where's Wally?

I don't think there has ever been any inclination on what happens to humans when they die, but Cade's Hell seems to be both human and supernatural. When the Other Side vanished, the souls there went to two directions: Silas seems to have been Hellbound but Lexi and Bonnie's grandma at least did the whole white light

Totally random remarks but here goes:
-It was so helpful that they marked Damon's new thingamajig with M for Moonstone.
-Alaric literally piercing his ears was very bad-ass and appreciated.
-Matt's return was surprisingly effective with the torture and the crying. Poor Tyler though.
-Good to see TVD back in form with

In fairness, I'm sure the kids learned a valuable lesson. Such as, money spent on pointless court cases is money away from our college fund.

The follow-up cases will settle the status on holding a lit tobacco with effortless cool, and frantically trying to light one after a traumatic event but the lighter inexplicably stops working.

It's in the seeming simplicity in Cohen's lyrics that these complicated and often tragic tales are found. Thanks for sharing!

I think ultimately the only enduring annoyance for me about flashpoint is Dante's death. I don't understand what it accomplished, but it lost an interesting family dynamic for Cisco. I really liked mentions of Cisco's family and especially the fraught relationship with Dante because that made Cisco something more than

Absolutely, and I also think that shows are well within their rights to expect something from their viewers too. The show needs to set the stage and provide visual and audio clues but people have imaginations for a reason. I don't need to see a full-scale replica of the White House to believe the characters are

…an ungrateful kid writing angry messages on a dog…

That panel (with the underwear ad and the platform shoes) really makes me want to read this. I like that it's not the glaring injustices that catch her eye, it's the little things that everyone takes for granted (not that people don't take glaring injustices for granted also, but at least we mostly have the nagging

I have a feeling I would really like this movie if it was a brother and sister double act (minus all the inappropriate touching, obvs.). As it is, I'm probably going to be just annoyed at these youngsters for re-enacting the Fifth Element with their multi-storied buildings and space ships and popular music and young

This is why 2016 sucked so hard. It's been preparing us on how to get bad news and still keep going.

I completely agree but this leaves the problem of what would he then do, if he did come back. It's his ship (as much as a stolen vehicle is anyone's - but the previous owners were dicks and had it coming and also dead so, yeah, it's his ship), so it's hard to imagine him just following orders on it. And the very last

Interpreting it that way must have taken some mental acrobatics so there's that.

Exactly. Especially as the whole point why Chloe believed in Fields's declaration of innocence was because it was taped virtually at the same time as the murder was taking place. Also, why an earth would someone rob a convenience store, if they had enough money to pay monthly installments to their fall guy!

Loved it! Maze and Linda was the best part but Lucifer and Dan, Chloe and Ella and the final Lucifer and Chloe hug were all touching, sweet and long overdue.

The mummy in the Doctor Who episode the Mummy in the Orient Express was initially pretty scary (to the degree that a Doctor Who episode can be scary, which is to say, not very much). I don't generally find mummies particularly horrifying either but I think the point is the inevitability and unexpectedness of death.

I can't imagine anyone within hugging distance not squeezing the bejeezus out of Lalla Ward so there's at least one!

Our bodies are made of razor wire and existential crisis. To hug us is to perish.
