You're quite wrong there my friend. The RAF have 1 Sqn, 3 Sqn, 6 Sqn, 11 Sqn and 29 (Reserve) Sqn stood up with Typhoons. The F-35 is replacing the Tornado GR4, not the Tiffie, so pilots from the Tornado Force will transfer to the F-35.

You want as much situational awareness as possible. You don't want to be fighting with the aircraft, you want to fight the enemy. Typhoon also has a range of voice commands the pilot can use to key up menus. It's a phenomenal aircraft.

The Jackal variant, Minacity, in use with the British SF can fit inside a Chinook:
