For those who don’t know, Overwatch has been the subject of a lot of longstanding criticism regarding cultural appropriation regarding its decision to put characters in clothing and accessories from cultures that aren’t their own.

I’m genuinely surprised they decided to drop the trailer this early if the game isn’t slated for net year. Wonder if last years hacks had anything to do with the decision.
Serious Florida Man vibes.
What I want from Kotaku:
Kotaku does this for every hyped released. They milk complete nonsense for clicks. Every site does. It sucks, but that’s the business model.
If you think 5 was bad, RDR2 amped that up to 11. Every fucking thing you did was tedious.
Sweet. I haven’t played through in a couple years, and I haven’t played the DLC yet. Sounds like the perfect time to go through it once more.
Very true. I guess I’m in the minority, but I like seeing new things. Don’t get me wrong, I like GTA, I just don’t obsess over when the next one is coming out, and spend zero time thinking about them after I’ve played through the campaign.
and releases are spaced out far enough that people aren’t just rolling their eyes at the idea of it being “the same game but slightly better”.
I think it’s generally gotten better since Vice City, with the only real exception being IV, which was a downgrade from San Andreas in many ways.
I’ll never understand the relentless obsession with this particular franchise. It’s the same basic game every time, just usually better than the last.
how strikingly beautiful she is
The first movie was surprisingly ok given how absurd the entire premise was (and the awful first pass at cinema Sonic), but the second was just awful. I forced myself to finish watching it.
If anything, the developers and staff should be privately urging Howard to shut his fucking mouth before their games release (the dude over sells everything he’s in charge of), instead of going on Steam forums and getting into weird arguments with arguably one of the worst online userbases imaginable.
Right. The collective aneurism from the general public and press coming to terms with the obvious is astounding. Take the same product, remove the Bethesda name and absurd hype, and it would’ve been forgotten and dismissed within a month.
I really wish publishers would move back to doing this sorta thing, especially on PC. CDRed has done great physical releases up to this point. The original 2077 PC release had some nice physical stuff (no additional base cost from digital), but even that was slimmed down compared to Witcher’s 2 and 3.
Number 2 checking in. I concur.
Ozzy truly is a genetic anomaly. He should’ve been dead decades ago.
The entire subculture of streaming is hot garbage.
Yep, fuck that noise. It’s such a shitty way of garnering clicks.
