I’m sorry, but why do studios feel the need to reach out to players after fucking over their employees?

All good points. I really don’t know if there is a line. This process has repeated itself and affected numerous industries over decades, so while it sucks to me personally, it is a reality that civilized societies have had to grapple with time and time again.
Honestly, there’s nothing I can do. Pandora’s box is open, and it’s never going back in. Hell, all of the tools I already use daily (Adobe Suite, Unity, etc.) have all integrated their own AI tools into their suites.
As a working artist, illustrator, and designer for 10 years, I don’t see AI as anything other than a threat to my line of work, and a major cost cutting measure for those who run companies. It’s essentially negating the need to hire people who posses certain skills.
The button layout and control decisions were also atrocious. I’ve never had to work so hard to rewire and wrap my brain around controlling a character. Took several hours before finally getting to the point where I didn’t have to intentionally think about what actions I was trying to do.
I literally almost quit after the first hour because of how much of a slog it was just doing ANYTHING.
Calling it now. NPC’s will poop, and the color, density, and viscosity will depend on what they ate previously.
Chaos is one thing, but eliminating the ability for the camera to track both players, even a little, is just poor design.
Both it and the sequel are superior platformers. I really don’t get the universal praise this game is receiving.
Welp, that’s enough internet for me today.
The internet is generally good. Easy access for dumb people to use it is the problem.
Yep, the fact that the screen doesn’t expand AT ALL from the primary player really demonstrates how dated Nintendo’s design decisions are.
Game’s fine, but not the master class in game design so many Nintendo fans are claiming. Donkey Kong Country Returns, Tropical Freeze, and Rayman Legends are better side-scrollers, and all of them are a decade or more older. I swear Nintendo gets the rose colored treatment every time they release a game.
AOC has virtually no influence over her party. She’s an irrelevant boogeyman on Fox.
It doesn’t matter, the Democrats still control the Senate. Any bullshit that comes out of the House is dead on arrival anyway.
I should’ve been more clear. What I meant by “media pearl clutching,” I meant with regards to when they specifically complain about Trumps threats against the free press. He absolutely is a real threat, but their concerns are little more than performative.
Yep, can’t even come here on mobile. It’s abhorrent, and also why I unapologetically use several adblockers on my desktop.
Elon’s working on that.
The thing is, Kotaku likes fanning this kind of shit. Everyone in media does. It’s no different than the press clutching pearls about Trump’s threat to democracy, while covering him and his lies ad nauseum. The don’t actually fucking care, they just want engagement and clicks.
Oh look, the whiny bitch dismissed everyone calling him out for being an asshole.
