I don’t know about that. My father, who has been voting Republican since Eisenhower, is all in for Medicare-for-All. It’s a system that has been around for almost a century expanded to include all citizens. It works.

True, and Bernie is from Brooklyn, but they both have represented Massachusetts and Vermont for so long that Republicans will roll out the old “New England socialist elites/not REAL Americans” trope in the rest of the country. They need someone on the ticket to counter that attack.
