Nonalcoholic beer is a misnomer. It contains alcohol, but not enough to make you intoxicated. Usually .5 or 1%. It’s the same with some sugar free drinks, like Fanta Zero. As long as it’s under 1%, it’s considered sugar free.

My guess would be that the packaging looks similar to normal beer and it is easier to police since every place that sells to minors could just claim “Oh, I thought it was NA”

In the case of products that contain CBD, it’s considered a controlled substance. With many other products, it’s entirely bureaucratic and extremely silly. 

Walnuts must be defended. They are a great flavour counterpoint to sweet chocolate chips.

I still don’t understand this. Restaurants are ephemeral and always have been. Outside of some chains, the life span of any restaurant is limited. You’re lucky if it lasts for decades.

Try tilting the wok slightly toward you, and “fold” in the ingredients with the spatula (from the heated area, to the top). Just like folding ingredients into a batter, only cooking at the same time.

Claire was referring to the one he mixes in the bar, which uses Teqila; and is a large batch. She mentioned that its a problem becuase it is such a large batch, so she can’t make it at home.
