Seriously, Fox Confessor, Middle Cyclone, and The Worse Things Get are all amazing albums and (for my money, at least) a touch better than Blacklisted. And they all feature Case expanding and/or deepening her sound from the gothic country thing she was doing on Blacklisted. Hell, even The Tigers Have Spoken, short as

Entertainment Weekly's article in late 2008 is what really brought the movie into the public consciousness and out of the "In the know around LA" kind of thing. I know it's when I first heard about it.

That's fair. I certainly don't think the movie was so bad that it doesn't allow for differences in opinion. But it is in my bottom three of Smith's films, right there with Jersey Girl (which I actually think was decent) and, I assume, Cop Out (which I never bothered to see).

Red State was way worse than Clerks II, I thought. A film with no character development of any kind and full of violence with no real point or entertainment value, with an ending clearly written shortly after Smith watched Burn After Reading. I mean, yeah, John Goodman was good, but he's always good and nothing else

Do other people chuckle at you instead of with you since The Bloodhound Gang were always always juvenile and comedic while Macklemore, beyond "Thrift Shop" and "And We Danced", really isn't either of those things?

"You can count on me like 1, 2, 3, and I'll be there."

And, as usual, he did a whole lot with only a small part.

Yeah, if season 7 goes for anything more than 13 episodes, I am not sure how Chris Pratt is going to be able to do it.

So, so many things are worse than post-Carrell Office. It wasn't a good show, but, my God. We live in a world where Dads airs every week.

And don't forget the relatively inexperienced showrunners who don't have the clout to push more interesting, creative ideas past the triple wall of ABC/Marvel/Disney execs. And Joss apparently too busy with movie stuff to go to bat for his brother, his sister-in-law, and his longtime friend. Although, weirdly, not too

Well, if Netflix/Marvel ever get around to confirming that Drew Goddard is going to be in charge of Daredevil, that'll pretty much guarantee you won't be let down.

But we know the Winter Olympics are never huge. They will get huge ratings on the nights where they can show women's figure skating and substantial audiences on the other nights, but nothing like the Summer Games.

What about Christian Slater's bingo card? He's got Breaking In for Fox (which was totally canceled after one season even if Sony worked some mojo for no good reason to bring it back), My Own Worst Enemy for NBC, and he already has The Forgotten for ABC. CBS just needs to give him a shot, too!

Thank you for that!

There is actually an FXMovies channel, I believe.

The real question is, what is the bigger waste of Zoë Bell's tough talents, a bad exploitation movie where she has a starring role, or Oblivion where she had no lines and her big scene was running across a catwalk when ordered by Tom Cruise? Or is it Lost, where she played a voice on the other end of a radio for

I agree. That was just lovely.

Sundance is now a force for critically-acclaimed, idiosyncratic drama shows. And, from fast forwarding through their ads during The Returned, they show a lot of classic movies from the past 40 years.

Wait, you guys aren't putting Scott Lynch's forthcoming third book in the Gentlemen Bastards series on the list for the second year in a row?

RIP, Low Winter Sun. You couldn't even keep this Detroit-area native interested past episode 6 despite shooting entirely in the city and featuring two top-notch actors and also the Captain from Castle reprising his role and Kristen Schaal's husband from Flight of the Conchords.
