I fully agree that this engine is an absolute mule when it comes to grunt and longevity... The problem is, in the last iterations are the trucks they put around them. Never had a 5 year old truck act like a 25 year old truck until my family bought an 1989 Ford F-150 “Heavy Half”. The engine is amazing though.

It’s pretty much the case for any modern hatch (the Fit is a notable exception). They are all small because companies don’t want them to eat I into their SUV sales, so they make them smaller so people will move up. The silver lining is that basically every manufacturer has a midsized hatch on the market today.

This is also an acceptable answer.

I could get behind any of those as well.

This:

4th gear: The fact that his former underling, Carlos Tavares, is now at the helm of his most direct rival has got to really gut Carlos Ghosn. I guess you should have promoted him hey?

He so expertly shifts that automatic transmission!

I hate these ads so much, which is too bad, because some of the Cars are actually pretty good. The Malibu is easily one of the best cars in class now, but then there is this horrendous garbage....

Cool your jets, no need to curse someone out over a braking systems.

This design is so polarizing that I can’t decide if it is terrible or wonderful; hate-love it.

The ‘66 is worth kaboodles of money, not sure if it shields you from looking like a douche, more often than not, just an older douche. And the Cars and Coffee comparison isn’t fair because it didn’t exist then, I’m sure if it did, Mustang’s of yore would be trampling all over the fine folks of that era too.

And sometimes there white people in car advertisements. Doesn’t mean you can sue a car company if you purchase the car and are Korean.

I’m certainly not going to disagree, especially if you “XUVed” the thing:

There aren’t any of these left hardly for the millions that they sold. That means that “still tickin’ no problem” Explorers are the exception, not the rule. Plus these are known for dropping transmissions like it was going out of style.

CP, I wouldn’t consider this for half the price. I thought this was a terrible idea when it happened and, much like the Explorer itself, this concept hasn’t aged well. If this was a Grand Cherokee or even Yukon/Suburban of the same era, it might be worth considering, but Explorer? Gross.

And the very next article on the FP is about a Honda, is that foreshadowing I see Patrick?

If the idea works, then these roads could potentially create some revenue, that way tax dollars could go further. It is a long shot, but with trying. We attempted the same thing in Canada years ago, with power generating speedbumps, to little avail though.

Not just you.

A dual clutch transmission is also known as a clutchless manual transmission. It is still a clutchless manual transmission, just like it had always been.
