Agreed, no matter how foolishly this kid acted, he doesn’t deserve to die. I’m willing to bet a good handful of the commenters here have done the exact same thing... either with better or worse results.

Well, they couldn’t possibly be more tacky than Ferrari PUMAs, I’ll give you that. They might even be classy! I’m imagining Aston BRG.
The 812 isn’t a super exotic though, it is a grand tourer, just like the Vanquish is. The Aventador, is certainly a super exotic, but not the Superfast.
This was my sentiment exactly when I saw his rant yesterday.
... Or the fact that it just seemed like Evans was seething through his teeth at his fellow cast members, like he could barely stand them. I might be totally off, but I don’t think I am. And that is an incredibly toxic energy to give off for this kind of show, where the strength is in the chemistry of the hosts.
Agreed, all the improv/impromptu banter during the challenge itself was actually commendably good, they seem to have good chemistry for such a new cast. It is just the staged/studio banter that falls flat. You can tell it’s scripted just from how all three play it.
Stig want there because the track was too wet for the FXX K. He’ll be back. And 100% agree on the best post-Clarkson/Hammond/May episode, it’s going to be a good season I think.
I was pretty happy over all. This is the trio I thought would have been spearheading as soon as they announced the new host cast. The FXX K segment was as good as any Top Gear feature, because it is what Harris does. The studio banter, as others said was weak. But they have great chemistry. So many times you saw them…
True for the most part, but I really don’t think that the new Opel Insignia is ugly from any angle. Maybe Opel was getting on track? Of course, Opel is kind of like Nissan that way: every time I think they are getting on track, they get a bad fit automotive design turette syndrome, and screw it all up.
Probably because Saab was a tiny brand compared to all of Opel/Vauxhall in terms of volume. If they simply shuttered the brand GM would be out billions of dollars. Saab cost them money to shutter, but not Opel/Vauxhall money. They also currently share a bunch of platforms with PSA, so they aren’t getting a while bunch…
I honestly don’t think the 0-60 time is really relevant on this car. I’m sure it would be a hoot to drive. I’ve driven my fair share of go-carts with a fraction of that horsepower (we are talking homemade go-carts here), and would never ever make it to 30 let alone 60, and they were massive fun. I’m sure it is totally…
No it does not mean that. Those shut off features seem like wizardry, but they are really fairly simple.
I find some subtle comedy in so many people’s assumption that you are a man. I’m sure you aren’t tired of it at all.
Weird, I’m the same height and had no trouble seeing out of a ND Miata. I was actually impressed at how much I could see. Granted, I wouldn’t complain for a slightly higher windshield, but not bad for what it was.
Trust me, a percentage does not equate profitability.
Them being the exact contrary to Volvo is what makes them such a good fit. No corporate toe-stepping. But basically any automaker in our modern world could benefit from Lotus’ engineering department and the “add lightness” mantra. (maybe Mazda is an exception?)
It is always shocking how short-sighted automakers have to be to appease shareholders. Last I checked, there is a fairly large population in Europe, and likely will be for the foreseeable, and distant future. It will continue to be a huge market because people will continue to buy cars. What GM fails at is making…
Good for you! Keep thinking that way, and convince all yor friends/family/ co-workers/acquaintances to feel the same way. Then all the people who actually know how good these cars really are can keep buying them on the cheap. Because we all know a great car is ruined by mediocre headlight design. Of course, your cries…
I think you are right. I’ve been on about it for a similar timeframe, but I think more it is a slightly outdated cry with digital dashes/ infotainment screens.
